New Glasses !
So I got glasses last year March 30th to be exact ( no I don't remember the date off the top of my head its written in front on me on this receipt lol) between my insurance copay, exam, glasses and my friends discount I paid 245 for D&G prescription eyeglasses. Great right? Well my husband and I (mostly my husband) are cheap. So it was a lot for our (his) pocket. So I have decided to approach this "eyeglasses purchasing" differently this time! So I went on eBay found COACH glasses I liked and clicked watch ! Then went to my eyeglasses place where my friend works and tried them on (thank the Lord they had them) I loved them! They are 250 plus tax there and on eBay $44.99 plus shipping ! How awesome is that ! Now I have to put the prescription in the glasses and of course I am looking for a bargain there as well ! So I've been doing my research and they opticians charge you a lot for addons you don't really need. Certain things like polycarbonate (or something like that) already comes with anti-stratch (for example) and other things that they would try to charge u extra for. Soooooo we shall see how low I can get the price for my prescription then I will post of here the final cost! Super excited to wear them !
Also bought a pair of COACH sunglasses from Nordstrom Rack for 62 bucks I love love Nordstrom Rack I always buy my shades there. Granted shades are cheaper at the MCX around the holidays but as always I'm not around an MCX during the holidays usually at "home" with our families but Anywho found the sunglasses at my opticians office and it was $250 ! Another SCORE !!
AH I LOVE BARGAIN SHOPPING ! My husband is lucky he married me lol I may be designer crazy but I'm cheap with it Haha

How did you and your spouse meet?
In November of 2009 we met in TROPICANA night club in Bronx, NY . We were there for a mutual friends birthday celebration. He asked me to dance and there was an instant SPARK. I never felt that way about someone I just met. He asked for my number and we went on our first date the following week :)
How old were you when you two met?
I was 22 and he was 28.
How long have you been together?
We will celebrating our 2nd wedding anniversary on September 24th & we've been together for 2 years and 2 months.
Where are you and your spouse originally from?
We are both from New York but he was born in the Dominican Republic.
How did you feel about him joining the military?
Well I wasn't with him when he joined. and when he told me he was in the Service I wasn't too happy about it but he was persistent and I eventually fell for him.
Where did your spouse go to Basic Training?
Parris Island, SC
Has your spouse ever been deployed?
Yes, he has.
Ever been to his promotion ceremony
I haven't.
How long have you been a military wife?
It will be two years in September.
Did you marry him before or after he joined?
After.
How did your husband propose?
I don't even remember! we've been talking about marriage since day 1 I knew we'd get married. we asked my parents around Christmas Of 2010 we were already married *shrugs shoulders*.
Where did you get married?
Bronx, New York.
How old were you two when you got married?
I was 22 (23 the next month) and he was 29.
Did he wear his uniform on your wedding day?
No we were both in civilian attire I regret not taking pictures though.
Where are you and your spouse currently stationed?
MCB CAMP LEJUENE
Do you live on base?
No, we live out in town.
How long were you married when you had to go through your first separation?
We were already separated when we got married he left NC to come to NY and marry me. We were separated for two months before we got married and two months after we got married.
What is your favorite base so far?
Camp Lejuene is the only MCB I've been to.
Does your spouse look good in his uniform?
Well Of course!
Do you think military life is more advanced than civilian life?
Yes I do. unfortunately we bare a lot of things that others would prefer not to. Its not easy to do when servicemen and women do and it isn't any easier for the spouse. I hate when people tell me when you knew what you were getting into. YES I did but that doesn't make it any easier.
Do you like the benefits you receive as a military dependent?
YES. It definitely has its perks. I love having insurance and discounted movie tickets since I am a sick puppy who loves movies lol
Do you have a lot of military wife friends?
Yes I have a few. Some of them have become some of my closest friends. I love that they understand what I'm going thru and I don't have to explain it all.
What is the hardest part of being a military wife?
Not being able to PLAN ANYTHING! I want to plan vacations and I can't. even if I want to see a movie on premiere night hes either on duty or has to be up at the crack of dawn.
Do you own any military wife stuff?
I have one shirt hubby had made for me. I have a lot of USMC stuff. mostly stuff he bought for me or PT clothing that I steal from him to sleep in lol.
Do you support your spouse as a member of the military?
110% !!!!! :)

Loving him from a distance while finding out who I am
So I'm here in my parents house almost 600 miles from the LOVE OF MY LIFE. missing him like crazy. Decided to stay here after the holidays since hubby is going to Cali for training. April is creeping up so quickly I'm so nervous about him leaving 1 or 2 months is hard but 7-8 months is gonna be pure torture. I've been so stressed with school (totally not into it) finally learning how to drive (without fear) and just being supportive and not mean to my husband. Past incidents has put anger in my heart and sometimes I don't know what to do. I am the most hard-headed person I know besides my husband and sometimes we bump heads. I do miss him and I am trying to really evaluate my life and become myself again. I have lost myself in this life. like I am the military wife and nothing more. I don't want to be identified as only that. Yes I love my husband and I am proud of what he does, but I am Me and I feel like I have lost my independence. Anyway so I'm here in NY gonna start a gym membership that I put on hold when I go back to NC and cancel when I move back for good.
School my family and the gym as welling as driving is on the agenda while trying to find myself I want to be pleasant to my husband for the last month and a half I will have with him before he deploys.
